Why use centrifugation instead of lubricating oil filtration?

If you are dissatisfied with the cleaning performance of your existing lubricating oil filter or are looking for a system upgrade, a centrifugal separator is undoubtedly a good choice to consider. Compared with traditional filters, centrifugal separators have significant advantages, which can not only greatly improve production efficiency, but also effectively reduce overall operating costs. Its core performance highlight is that centrifugal separation technology can more thoroughly remove solid impurities and water contaminants. Once you replace the lubricating oil filter with a centrifugal separator, you can intuitively feel the positive changes it brings from the moment you start running.

Using centrifugal technology to innovate the lubricating oil purification process

Choosing centrifugal method instead of traditional filtration method is an effective way to reduce resource waste. If you currently rely on the filtration system to maintain oil cleanliness, then the fluctuation of oil cleanliness, frequent replacement of filter elements, treatment of waste oil and filter elements, and procurement and inventory management of new filter elements must have troubled you. Traditional filtration mechanisms mainly intercept particles larger than the filter mesh aperture, and their cleaning efficiency has a peak - as the filter approaches saturation, the cleaning efficiency gradually declines; and the pressure shock during the start-stop process is more likely to cause the release of captured particles. Once the filter is fully loaded and fails, the old filter element needs to be disposed of and replaced with a new one.

Centrifugal separation technology efficiently handles solids and water

Another major advantage of centrifugal separators over lubricating oil filters is their ability to separate solids from water. The corrosive damage caused by water to equipment should not be underestimated. It not only accelerates equipment aging, but also increases maintenance costs and the frequency of parts replacement. Because water and oil are similar in form, it is difficult to detect it in time with the naked eye. By the time the water problem becomes apparent, the lubricating oil has become noticeably thicker, and the equipment is likely to have suffered irreversible damage. Except for a few filters with limited water holding capacity, most filters are limited by design and can only capture solid particles and cannot effectively remove water.

Simple operation, low cost, and achieve the best total cost of ownership

Compared with filters, centrifugal separators show significant advantages in reducing total cost of ownership (TCO). They are easy and quick to install and can be put into efficient operation immediately after power is turned on without additional downtime. Although the initial investment may be higher than that of filters, centrifugal separators can usually achieve a return on investment through cost savings within two years, providing the lowest TCO in the industry. The biggest cost savings come from extending the life of the equipment, which may even be significantly increased. Centrifugal separators remove solid impurities and tiny water particles, making the oil gentler on mechanical equipment, thereby effectively extending the life of large investment equipment. Therefore, using centrifuges instead of traditional lubricating oil filters is undoubtedly a wise choice that can significantly improve the durability of equipment.
