The role of the oil purifier vacuum pump

The vacuum pump in the oil purifier is one of its core components. Its main function is to optimize the oil purification process by creating a vacuum environment. The specific functions are as follows:

1. Remove moisture and light volatiles

- Principle: Under a vacuum environment, the boiling point of moisture and light hydrocarbons in the oil is significantly reduced, causing them to evaporate rapidly at a lower temperature.

- Effect: Avoid oil oxidation caused by high-temperature heating, and efficiently separate moisture, gas and low-boiling impurities. It is especially suitable for hydraulic oil, insulating oil and other oil products with strict requirements on water content.

2. Remove dissolved gas

- Principle: The vacuum pump reduces the system pressure to below the saturated vapor pressure, causing the air, oxygen and other gases dissolved in the oil to precipitate.

- Effect: Prevent oil oxidation, increase foam or decrease insulation performance (such as transformer oil), and extend the life of oil products.

3. Improve filtration efficiency

- Auxiliary effect: The vacuum environment can reduce the viscosity of the oil, making impurities easier to be adsorbed or intercepted by the filter material, while avoiding interference from gas precipitation during filtration.

4. System circulation power

- In the design of some oil purifiers, the vacuum pump cooperates with the Roots pump, booster pump, etc. to form oil circulation power and push the oil through the multi-layer filtration system (such as coalescing filter element, fine filter, etc.).

5. Protect equipment

- By removing moisture and pollutants, reduce the corrosion and wear of acidic substances and particulate matter in the oil on mechanical equipment (such as engines, hydraulic systems).

Common application scenarios

- Transformer oil treatment: remove moisture and gas to restore insulation strength.

- Lubricating oil regeneration: dehydration, degassing, and restoring lubrication performance.

- Fuel purification: separate moisture and impurities to improve combustion efficiency.

Precautions

- The performance of the vacuum pump (such as the ultimate vacuum degree and the pumping rate) directly affects the oil purification effect, and it needs to be selected according to the type of oil (such as viscosity and degree of contamination).

- Maintaining the vacuum pump (such as regular replacement of vacuum oil and cleaning of filters) can avoid efficiency loss.

Through the above functions, the vacuum pump achieves efficient and low-temperature oil purification in the oil purifier, which is a key link in ensuring the quality of oil products.
