The inspection frequency of the oil separator depends on many factors, including the type of equipment, operating environment, workload, oil contamination level, and the manufacturer's recommendations. The following is a general inspection reference guide:
- Daily/weekly:
- Check the operating status of the oil separator (noise, vibration, leakage, etc.).
- Clean impurities on the surface of the coarse filter or filter element.
- Check the oil level and pipe connections for normal operation.
- Monthly:
- Check whether the electrical system (such as motor, control cabinet) is normal.
- Clean the equipment housing and heat dissipation components.
- Check the oil quality and oil level of the vacuum pump (if it is a vacuum oil separator).
- Filter element/filter bag:
- replace according to the degree of contamination, usually 3 to 6 months (or forced replacement when the pressure differential alarm is triggered).
- Seals (O-rings, gaskets):
- Check or replace every 6 to 12 months to prevent aging and leakage. - Vacuum pump oil (vacuum oil purifier):
- replace every 500~1000 hours.
- Heating elements:
- Check resistance and insulation performance once a year.
- Bearings and motors:
- Add grease or overhaul every 1~2 years.
- Once a year:
- Perform a comprehensive inspection of the entire machine, including pipelines, valves, control systems, etc.
- Calibrate instruments (such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors).
- Clean or replace internal scaling parts (such as condensers, evaporators).
- High load operation (24-hour continuous operation): Overhaul cycle shortened by 30%~50%.
- Harsh environment (high temperature, high humidity, high dust): Increase the frequency of cleaning and anti-rust inspection.
- Severe oil contamination: The filter element replacement frequency needs to be adjusted according to the actual contamination situation.
Notes
- Please follow the maintenance requirements in the equipment manual (different brands may have differences).
- When performing maintenance, be sure to turn off the power and drain the oil to ensure safe operation.
- Record the content of each maintenance to track the status of the equipment.
If the equipment is abnormal (such as decreased filtration efficiency, increased noise, leakage, etc.), it should be stopped immediately for inspection to prevent the fault from further expansion.
