What is the normal pressure of the oil purifier?

Time:2025-05-21 13:31:24  Reading volume:

The normal working pressure range of the oil purifier varies depending on the equipment's type, purpose and design. The following are general reference standards:

Common oil filter types and pressure ranges

- Plate and frame oil purifier: usually 0.3~0.6 MPa (megapascals), and some high-pressure models can reach 1 MPa.

- Vacuum oil purifier:

- Pre-filtration pressure: 0.1~0.3 MPa

- Fine filtration pressure: 0.2~0.5 MPa

- The vacuum tank is partially negative pressure (-0.08~-0.1 MPa).

- Centrifugal oil purifier: mainly relies on centrifugal force, and the system pressure is low, usually <0.2 MPa.

- Coalescing and dehydration oil purifier: 0.3~0.8 MPa, depending on the viscosity and flow rate of the oil.

Key judgment criteria

- Initial pressure: When the filter element or filter paper is newly replaced, the pressure is low (such as 0.2 MPa), and gradually rises as impurities accumulate.

- Alarm pressure: Most equipment has a high-pressure alarm (such as 0.6~1 MPa). If it exceeds the limit, the machine needs to be shut down and the filter material needs to be replaced.

- Pressure difference recommendation: Maintenance is required when the inlet and outlet pressure difference exceeds 0.3 MPa (or the equipment calibration value).

Influencing factors

- Oil viscosity: High-viscosity oil (such as gear oil) may cause pressure increase.

- Flow rate: The pressure of large-flow models may be lower under the same conditions.

- Temperature: The oil has poor fluidity at low temperatures, and the pressure may be temporarily high.

Abnormal situation handling

- Pressure is too low: Check for oil leakage, filter material damage, or reduced pump efficiency.

- Pressure is too high: The filter element may need to be cleaned or replaced due to filter material blockage, excessive oil impurities, or blocked pipelines.

Precautions

- The specific requirements are subject to the equipment manual. Different brands and models may have special requirements.

- Monitor the pressure change trend regularly. A sudden increase is often a signal of filter material blockage.

For example, when the transformer oil vacuum purifier is operating normally, the pressure in the fine filtration section is usually maintained at around 0.4 MPa. If it exceeds 0.6 MPa for a long time, the machine needs to be shut down for maintenance.
