Turbine oil filter is a kind of equipment specially used for purifying turbine oil (turbine oil). It is mainly used to remove pollutants such as water, gas, mechanical impurities and colloids in the oil to ensure that the turbine oil meets the equipment operation requirements. The following is the working principle and purification process of the turbine oil filter:
Turbine oil filter achieves comprehensive purification of oil through a combination of various technical means. Its core purification process includes:
1. Filter impurities: remove mechanical impurities such as solid particles and metal chips in the oil through filter elements or filter screens.
2. Remove moisture: remove free water and emulsified water in the oil by vacuum dehydration, coalescence separation or centrifugal separation.
3. Remove gas: remove air and other gases in the oil through vacuum degassing technology.
4. Improve oil quality: improve the physical and chemical properties of the oil, such as viscosity and acid value, through heating and circulation filtration.
1. Pretreatment (coarse filtration)
- Purpose: Remove large particles of impurities in the oil.
- Method: The oil first passes through a coarse filter or filter to filter out larger solid particles (such as metal chips, dust, etc.).
- Equipment: coarse filter, metal mesh filter element, etc.
2. Heating
- Purpose: Reduce the viscosity of the oil and improve the efficiency of subsequent dehydration, degassing and filtration.
- Method: The oil passes through the heater, and the temperature is usually controlled at 40℃-70℃ (the specific temperature is adjusted according to the oil type and equipment requirements).
- Equipment: electric heater or thermal oil heating system.
3. Vacuum dehydration
- Purpose: Remove water (including free water and emulsified water) from the oil.
- Method: The oil enters the vacuum separation tank, and the water evaporates and is pumped out by the vacuum pump under vacuum.
- Equipment: vacuum separation tank, vacuum pump, condenser, etc.
4. Precision filtration
- Purpose: Remove tiny solid particles from oil.
- Method: The oil passes through a high-precision filter element (such as a glass fiber filter element) to filter out tiny particles.
- Equipment: precision filter element, pressure filter, etc.
5. Degassing
- Purpose: Remove air and other gases from the oil.
- Method: Under vacuum conditions, the gas is separated from the oil and pumped out by a vacuum pump.
- Equipment: vacuum degassing device.
6. Coalescing separation (optional)
- Purpose: Further remove trace moisture from the oil.
- Method: The oil passes through a coalescing filter element, and tiny water droplets coalesce into large droplets before separation.
- Equipment: coalescing filter element, separation filter element.
7. Post-treatment (fine filtration)
- Purpose: Ensure that the oil reaches the highest cleanliness.
- Method: The oil passes through a high-precision filter element (such as a 1μm or 3μm filter element) for final filtration.
- Equipment: High-precision filter element.
1. Vacuum dehydration technology: Use a vacuum environment to lower the boiling point of water and evaporate the water quickly.
2. Precision filtration technology: Remove tiny particles through a high-precision filter element.
3. Coalescing separation technology: Used to remove emulsified water and trace moisture.
4. Heating control technology: Accurately control the oil temperature to ensure the best filtration effect.
1. Moisture content: The moisture content in the oil can be reduced to less than 100ppm (or even lower).
2. Cleanliness: The oil cleanliness can reach NAS 1638 level 6 or higher.
3. Gas content: The gas content in the oil is significantly reduced to avoid cavitation and unstable equipment operation.
4. Improved oil quality: The physical and chemical properties of the oil, such as viscosity and acid value, are improved.
1. Steam turbine unit: used for online or offline purification of steam turbine turbine oil.
2. Gas turbine: Purify gas turbine lubricating oil.
3. Hydropower station: used for turbine oil purification of water turbine unit.
4. Industrial equipment: suitable for industrial equipment that requires high-cleanliness lubricating oil.
Summary
The turbine oil filter uses heating, vacuum dehydration, precision filtration, degassing and other technologies to efficiently remove moisture, gas and impurities from the oil to ensure the cleanliness and performance of the turbine oil. Its purification process includes pretreatment, heating, vacuum dehydration, precision filtration, degassing and post-treatment steps, which can significantly extend the service life of the turbine oil and ensure the safe and stable operation of the equipment.
