Correct use of centrifugal oil filter

A centrifugal oil filter uses high-speed rotation to generate centrifugal force to separate impurities from oil. It is widely used for purifying edible oil, industrial oil, and other oils. Proper usage and precautions are as follows:

Usage Procedure

1. Preparation

- Check that the equipment is in good condition and that key components such as the drum and bearings are not damaged or loose.

- Ensure the oil filter is placed on a level, stable surface to avoid vibration during operation.

- Clean the inside of the drum to prevent residual impurities from affecting the filtration effect.

2. Adding the Oil to be Filtered

- Pour the oil to be filtered into the drum, making sure not to exceed the maximum capacity mark (usually 70%-80% of the drum).

- If the oil contains a large amount of solid impurities (such as residue from oil extraction), it is recommended to pre-screen it.

3. Sealing and Startup

- Tighten the drum lid and ensure the seal is intact to prevent oil leakage.

- Turn on the power and start at low speed (if speed control is available), then gradually increase to the rated speed (usually 3000-6000 rpm).

4. Centrifugal Filtration

- The operating time should be adjusted according to the oil quality (usually 5-15 minutes). Impurities will adhere to the inner wall of the drum due to centrifugal force.

- Avoid moving or touching the equipment during operation to prevent safety accidents.

5. Shutdown and Oil Removal

- Turn off the power and wait for the drum to come to a complete stop before opening the cover.

- Use a cleaning tool to scrape impurities from the inner wall of the drum and remove the purified oil.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

- Thoroughly clean the drum, filter, and other components after each use to prevent hardening and clogging by impurities.

- Regularly check the bearing lubrication and add lubricant if necessary.

Precautions

1. Safe Operation

- Overfilling the drum or operating at excessive speed is strictly prohibited to prevent excessive vibration caused by an unbalanced drum.

- When the equipment is operating, personnel must maintain a safe distance and avoid touching rotating parts.

2. Oil Compatibility

- Suitable for vegetable oils (such as rapeseed oil and peanut oil) or low-viscosity industrial oils. High-viscosity oils must be preheated before filtering.

- Oils with high water content must be dehydrated first, otherwise the separation effect will be affected.

3. Regular Maintenance

- Inspect belts, bearings, and other vulnerable parts and replace them promptly if worn.

- When the equipment is not in use for an extended period, clean and keep it dry to prevent rust.

4. Troubleshooting

- If unusual noise or vibration occurs during operation, stop the machine immediately and check for uneven loading or loose components.

Common Problem Solutions

- Unclear oil: Increase the centrifugation time or check that the speed is within the specified range.

- Excessive vibration: Verify that the oil is evenly distributed in the bowl and that the base is level.

- Abnormal noise: The bearings may be lacking oil or damaged, requiring shutdown and inspection.

Proper use of a centrifugal oil filter can significantly improve oil quality and extend the life of the equipment. Safety regulations must be followed during operation, and regular maintenance is key.
